SCFHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with over 252 staff members including 35 clinicians who provide the direct medical services, treatment and care to patients.

Since 1981, South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC) has played a major role in filling the void for comprehensive health services in the historically underserved and uninsured population of South Los Angeles.

Primary Care

SCFHC offers excellent healthcare services for everyone in the South Central community regardless of their financial status.

Dental Care

Dental health care is all about taking care of your mouth. This means looking after your teeth, gums, tongue, the roof of your mouth, and the insides of your lips and cheeks.

Behavioral Health

SCFHC provides top-quality mental health and substance abuse help. Certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).Vital for those with limited access to care.

Vision Care

Our Vision Center provides complete vision services in South LA including comprehensive eye exams and affordable prescription glasses.

Pediatrics

We provide comprehensive care and support for children and families from birth to adolescence, including primary care check-ups, preventive care, and treatment for childhood illnesses.

Prenatal

Our prenatal care providers offer on-site assistance and support throughout your pregnancy, offering you prenatal checkups and ultrasounds to ensure a healthy delivery.

Chiropractic

Get high-quality chiropractic care at two convenient locations. Our skilled team prevents, diagnoses and treats bone, joint and muscle issues to help you feel your best.

Sexual Health

Take advantage of our family planning, HIV and STD/STI testing, and treatment such as pre/post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP & PrEP).

2. Onboarding

Register you in our electronic health record system, access your health needs and find an available appointment.

3. Get Assigned a Location

Once we have you in the system and we have assessed your needs, we can direct you to the location for your 1st appointment.

The Patient Portal helps you keep in touch with your provider’s office from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Using our secure portal, you will be able to:

  • Send a message to your provider/care team
  • View your medical history
  • Request refills from your doctor
  • View recent lab orders
  • View your medication, diagnoses, and more!

After your first appointment, you will receive an invitation from SCFHC to access your Patient Portal if we have the correct Name, DOB, and email. If you do not gain access, let our team know, we will be happy to assist you.
